New Blog Post: “Brat Summer Bold or Just Bullying?”

Posted June 25, 2025

Charli XCX is a talented artist. She brought a fresh, bold energy into the music world with her Brat era and honestly, I respect that. But let’s talk about the way some of her fans are taking this “Brat Summer” vibe and turning it into something toxic online.

The whole “Brat Summer” aesthetic is meant to be about confidence, rebellion, and self-expression not tearing others down. And yet, I’ve seen too many of her fans use that lime green logo like a free pass to jump into conversations and disrespect people’s opinions.

Like, imagine saying “Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey are besties,” and out of nowhere a Brat Summer fan replies, “Taylor doesn’t belong in this conversation.”

For what? Who asked?

It makes me wonder: what’s really going on in their heads? Because that energy doesn’t come from Charli herself. She’s not the one out there being rude or combative. But some of these fans? They’re watching all this negative news, getting caught up in internet drama, and letting it turn them into the very thing “Brat Summer” was supposed to rebel against, hate for no reason.

Honestly, I’ve learned to stay away from the news just to protect my peace. I bring positivity into everything I do. And it makes me ask:

👉 Does “Brat Summer” really need to be a reason to bully people on social media? Or can we flip it back to what it should be boldness with light, not shade?

Let’s practice that from now on.

Be bold. Be loud. But be kind. 🌸
